NETVET project (Networking in Vocational Education and Training)

On the 20th of November 2008, all the partners of the NETVET project (Networking in Vocational Education and Training) were gathered in Madrid to launch the project. Were presents partners from 5 countries: Selina Martin from the Spanish Confederation of Education and Training Centres (CECE), Teija Tuunila from The Federation of Education of Central Ostrobothnia, Giovanni Polliani, president of the Italian association CESES, Szilvia Inhof and Zsofi Bak from the Hungarian Association of Independent Schools and Mesut Ozer, Ali Osman and Enver DÜZ from Kocaeli Directorate of Education in Turkey.
After a short presentation of Spain, the hosting coordinator Selina Martin presented its association, The Spanish Confederation of Education and Training Centres (CECE). Then, each stakeholder made in turn a brief presentation of its own organization and explained the particularities of his country’s educational system. Next Silvia Franco, representative of UNEFA and CECE’s associate, explained the role and the organization of EFA’s centres in Spain.
It was time then, to discuss the NETVET project itself. The main objectives of the project were expounded: creation of a living network of VET providers and mutual learning through the presentation of best practices as regards VET pedagogy. The partners raised different issues about the dissemination plan and the project finance. Moreover, it was decided that each hosting partner would develop an action plan composed of 3 stages: 1) pre-meeting work package; 2) meeting work package; 3) post meeting work package.
